Step 7 Continue with steps 2-7 until you have created the word MEMORIES.
Step 8 Hoop the 18" X 15" back ground fabric with the stabilizer. Thread the machine with embroidery thread color of choice. Touch Sewing and stitch out the lettering.
Step 9 Remove the fabric from the hoop and press.
Step 10 Place the clear vinyl over the pictures that will be in the memories holder. Lay out the pictures on the fabric next to the word MEMORIES. Be sure that the pictures and the vinyl are not overlapping. Remove the pictures but leave the vinyl in place.
Step 11 Mark the placement of the pictures with the water soluble marker or pin in place.
Step 12 Thread the machine with embroidery thread to match the letter color.
Step 13 Place the non stick foot (SA114) on the machine. Select the utility stitches and stitch #3-14. Stitch along the sides and the bottom of the vinyl using the opening in the foot to guide the edge of the vinyl.
Step 14 Trim the fabric to a desired size to add sashing. (Size will depend on the picture placement and the size of the pictures)
Step 15 Cut fabric for sashing 2 ½" wide and the length of the Memories wall hanging. Stitch to the sides using a ¼" seam.
Step 16 Measure across the top and bottom of the wall hanging including the strips on the sides. Cut two strips of sashing fabric to this measurement and stitch in place.
Step 17 To layer the wall hanging, place the fleece on the table, place the backing on top of the fleece right side up, and place the front of the wall hanging on top of the back right sides together. Pin in place all the way around.
Step 18 Stitch around the wall hanging using a ¼" seam allowance. Leave about 5" open for turning.
Step 19 Trim all three layers to ¼" clip the corners on an angle.
Step 20 Turn to the right side and press using caution not to press on the vinyl pockets. Hand stitch the opening and quilt as desired.
